Hide and Seek

I wonder…
is it wrong to be in touch with your emotions?

There are two types of people in my life…
ones who are aware of the emotions that sometimes rule them,
and the others who ignore their emotions and keep them away in a box of keepsakes, to open, maybe some later time in life.
The former are in touch with their inner selves…
they understand everything they go through in various stages of life,
and give themselves time to take control over it.
The drawback in such a situation is that they sometimes over-think things.. And that leads to unnecessary worry and doubt.
They find it hard to ignore an unhealthy emotion because they’re reminded of it at every passing moment, in the depths of their minds.
Its like a continuous commentary, that just won’t shut up.
They SEEK someone to express themselves to.. but are never really able to trust fully.
Whereas the latter, who are unaware of their feeling and emotions… justify the idiom “ignorance is bliss”
I’ve noticed.. that for some of these people.. not being in touch with their feelings works out pretty well for them.
They never allow themselves to question “why? what? who?…
They take things as they come, and let go of them as it leaves.
They hide their emotions away from themselves.. possibly due to fear of facing the raging battle within themselves.
They HIDE from a battle that the former fights everyday…
and they don’t even realize how fatal their pent up emotions can end up to be.
