Our Song

Our love is like a song, you can't forget it

I can honestly sayYou've been on my mind

Since I woke up today
I look at your photograph all the time
These memories come back to life
And I don't mind

Hang on to the reverie

Could you do that for me?
Cause I’m just too sad to
You can have Manhattan
Cause I can’t have you

They say you bought a bunch of land somewhere,

Chose the Rose Garden over Madison Square,
And it took some time, but I understand it now.

I told myself don't get attached,

But in my mind I play it back,
Spinning faster than the plane that took you...

And I've always lived like this

Keeping a comfortable distance.
And up until now I have sworn to myself
That I'm content with loneliness.
Because none of it was ever worth the risk.
Well you are the only exception.

But I wonder what would happen if you

Say what you wanna say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave

Wherever you goI always know

'Cause you make me smile
Even just for a while

Here's a map and here's a Bible

If you ever lose your way

Stay.

And I'll be loving you for quite some time.
No one else is going to love me, when I get mad, mad, mad.
So I think that it's best if we both stay, stay, stay, stay, stay, stay.

'Cause you'll be in my heart

Yes, you'll be in my heart
From this day on
Now and forever more

If i could, then i would

I'll go wherever you will go
Way up high or down low
I'll go wherever you will go
And maybe. I'll work out
A way to make it back some day
Towards you, to guide you
Through the darkest of your days

half of my heart's got a real good imagination

half of my heart's got you

You'll be in my heart

No matter what they say
You'll be here in my heart, always

You're my back bone.

You're my cornerstone.
You're my crutch when my legs stop moving.
You're my head start.
You're my rugged heart.
You're the pulse that I've always needed.

Something always brings me back to you.
It never takes too long.No matter what I say or doI'll still feel you here 'til the moment I'm gone.

Here in these deep city lights

Girl could get lost tonight
I'm finding every reason to be gone
Nothing here to hold on to
Could i hold you?

Said goodbye, turned around

And you were gone, gone, gone
Faded into the setting sun,
Slipped away
But I won’t cry
Cause I know I’ll never be lonely
For you are the stars to me,
You are the light I followI will see you again, whoa
This is not where it ends
I will carry you with me, oh
'Til I see you again

Ain't about how fast I get there

Ain't about what's waitin' on the other side
It's the climb

Pick a star on the dark horizon

and follow the light
You'll come back when it's over
No need to say goodbye
You'll come back when it's over
No need to say goodbye

If only New York wasn't so far away

I promise the city won't get in our way
When you're scared and alone,
Just know that I'm already home

I’ll carry you home

Tonight
We are young
So let’s set the world on fire
We can burn brighter than the sun'

Even though there may be times

It seems I'm far away
Never wonder where I am
'Cause I am always by your side

You're crazy and I'm out of my mind

'Cause all of me
Loves all of you

And the seventh thing I like the most that you do
You make me love you.

With Friends like Death, Who needs Enemies

I don't mean to boast, but I have a good number of friends.
But among all of them, the strangest I find, is Death.
Death is the kind of friend who sticks with you no matter what
through thick and thin, Death is by your side.
Death is the kind of friend you wish you hadn't met
Because the reason behind you're loneliness is Death.
Death will walk with you wherever you go,
he doesn't need you to talk to him, he just seems to know,
Know exactly when you're at the peak in your life
That's when he chooses to make his move,
that's when he chooses, his power, to prove,
Death is the kind of friend who will stick to you like glue,
But really he is of no help to you.
Death is old and wise, and has been a round for a long while
he probably befriended you, when he saw your big smile.
Death hates when you get close to someone
so much so, that he'll embrace that someone, and let him go.
Death has a habit of ridding you of people you love
Death' brings you woe and sit's by you when you're low.
Death's the kind of friend you hate to have around,
but you have no choice, He moves quickly and without a sound.
Death's the only friend who will stick with you till the end
and when he think's it's time, he'll pull you into his cold embrace
and take you away to another place.
Death will be your enemy friend, sticking by like a mate
and will walk with you to your destined gate.

Make's me wonder and question
with friend's like Death, who needs enemies.

The One That Got Away

He was 11 when he dropped out of school.
She was 13 when she did the same.

He couldn't study. His brain was made for better things.

His heart was smarter than his mind would ever let him be. It's what kept him sane.

She grew up in a big house and a small family.
He grew up with the opposite.
Both never knew the luxuries of life. Both didn't want it either.

He lost his mother when he was too young to understand.

But his many brothers and sisters raised him to be a wonderful man.

She learned to be a woman who could only care..
And never raise her hand or her temper. No. she'd never dare.

He'd learned from an uncle and started a business of his own
She'd taken example from her mother, gentleness and kindness, in her, was sown.

They'd met on the shore one day when the world became too small
And a friend who was a mutual one, had called.

She saw in him, something she couldn't understand.
He saw in her, something that made him wanna be her man.

He was a charmer of sorts and wooed her lots,
But something wasn't right and they parted ways.

Many failed relationships and 10 years later
They met again, with hope this time it'll be better.

And with something that started of 10 years ago,
they created a love whos strength no one would ever know.

Traveling across 4 stations to see eachother every second day,
They'd learned to love, and loved to learn about eachother, and their ways.

Without any doubt this time, they tied the knot
and vowed to be eachothers, forever and a day.

With little children now, natures miracles,
They loved unconditionally and lived in simplicity.
But lifes never been easy for the two of them
And like the former years they lived, came problems, their happiness to condemn.

He gave her everything he could and she loved him the way she should.
But God made it a point to surprise them all the time.
And so he took him away from her, one day, for really, no crime.

She took it hard, a blow to her life, that took with it, all that she had
If there was one thing she lived for now, it was to keep her children glad.

For they were a part of them, something right that they had done,

In a life filled with trouble and darkness, they were her morning sun.

He may have died young, and left her to grow old alone
But soon enough she took courage and never let her spirit get worn.

A wife and a mother who has come along way
She falters and make mistakes, but gets up and tries not to go astray.

She's weak and scared and tempted to let go,
But she'll hide that away, trying hard to be stronger than before.

She's been through the worse, and it's probably just the start
But shes a winner, the strongest at heart.

He's watching over her from wherever he may be
And he's smiling at her, encouragingly.

Time and again, he appears in her dreams, both day and night,
That sweet handsome man, on the shores of a beach, in the evening sunlight.
