ALWAYS, for Eternity.

If it wasn't for him she'd be down on the ground
Sinking lower into the depths of pain and lonliness...
Left there to cry her emotions away...
After being dumped for no fault of hers.
She should have known she was being played
She should have known they never stay
But then a new life came along and now her life is a song
One that rings in her ears
One that drives away the fears
And wipes away the tears..
His touch could heal her growing pains,
the ones that came from the wounds on her skin
And also the ones she suffers from within.
For, his touch is not just an ordinary touch
It's so much more.
And if she knew better she'd give it a word
But it still wouldn't describe what she feels when he's around
He's her north star, her solid ground.

Cacooned in his arms, warm in his strong hold..

She still has nightmares, of the nights she's cried
And when those horrible memories come knocing at her mind
He's the one holding her from behind...
"I'll catch you if you fall, love" he whispers at night
"I'll never let you out of my sight"
And she closes her eyes and buries herself into his side.
Never more, her face to hide.
For she knows he's the one
He's stuck around long enough for her to be sure.
That however scarred or damaged she may be,
He'll be her shelter from the hail and snow
