Frozen

It's cold on the inside and I shiver in fright.
The moon seems to tease me at this hour of night.

I can't seem to stop staring at the picture we once took
There was a time, when reliving that moment,
Made me warm with just one look.

Yet, here I sit, tears rolling down my face
You aren't here to wipe them away, their outline, to trace.

Tonight's going to be endless as I wait for dawn to come
I crave nothing more than to feel the heat of your touch,
or maybe the warmth of the rising sun.

I ache with a loneliness that's making my heart thaw away
I'm afraid I'm stuck in time, I see neither a tomorrow or a yesterday.

The clouds roll by, taking chances to touch the moon
And there I was, when you took your chance too

Time's passing, but my night is too still
Things seem to change too soon, but I never will

This winter night is eternal and lives within my soul,
obstructing me from waking up at all,
Immovable and icy cold

I once lived in a warmer place and my tomorrows were guaranteed
If time stood still then, it was cause you and I agreed.

I can't dream of a warmer tomorrow, I can only lay here and freeze
Cause when you laid eyes on another, I froze with the feel of the cool breeze

I'm frozen in love with you, unable to break the ice around me
Trapped in my own little igloo, bricks of ice structured carefully.

It's walls won't melt even in May. Walls built so high,
They'll freeze the sky
And never turn my night into day.

And I will stay that way...
Until someone can melt that frozen wall away.

Fading Face

Slowly yet surely you're fading away,
Your face turning lighter and lighter,
However much I try to make you stay.

Those eyes that cried happiness when I shone bright
are closed in my memory of you,
the memory of when you walked into the light.

That stubby nose I inherited from you,
the one that betrayed you and stole you from me
is slowly dimming away eternally

Your short dark hair had begun to grey.
The memory of it, turning the same way,
silver and precious till your last day

The smile that I thought would never go,
is sneakily creeping out of my mind,
Fleeing away to some corner I'll never find.

These simple features seem to all want to leave.
It's for my own good, they believe.
But what they don't take with them,
is the effect you had and the memories you gave.
Those, they say, are all for me.

The image of you may fade with time
But forgetting you, to me, is a crime.
I may not be able to hold on to your face any longer
But the memories of you only seem to grow stronger.

The Writer Girl

Admire the girl who holds the pen close to her heart
Expression is no difficulty, It is an art

She will write about your charm
and her words will sing about you
she'll tell the world of her deepest emotions
And how the reason is you.
She'll write about that smile and how she can never tire of it
She'll write about those arms in whose embrace she warmly fit.
She'll write about the things you say and the promises you make
She'll write about the gifts you gave and the ones you take
She'll write about your every touch and every kiss
She'll write about, when you're away, the things she'll miss
She'll write every step you two take together
And she'll dream of ending with a "Together Forever"

Beware of the girl who holds the pen close to her heart
For she uses it more when her heart's torn apart

She will write about your mistakes
and her words will curse you
She'll tell the world of her heartache
And how the reason is you
She'll write about that frown that you brought upon her face
She'll write about the discomfort she felt in your embrace
She'll write about the things you said and the promises you made
And how none of them matter now anyway.
She'll write about the gifts you gave and the ones you took
And how she cleared out evidence of you from every nook
She'll write about the new girl you kiss
And she'll write about the things you'll miss.
The ink from her pen will flow like tears that remained unshed
The very same tears that blotted the pillow on her bed
She'll write to undo the steps you took with her
She'll write until 'Un-happily Ever After'

A Letter From Your Beloved.

Dear You,
I don't want to waste anymore time in getting this across to you. I've been wanting to talk to you about it and all that waiting has only caused me to keep everything inside and I can't any longer. I fear, if i do, I might just explode. So let me get straight to the point. I'm yours.
I'm yours and there's no doubt about that. But if I'm yours then why do you treat me so bad? why do you put me through things you'd never want to live through yourself? You dive into situations, knowing full well that the consequences will hurt me. And not just hurt, but also leave a scar that won't heal. I'm not a toy you can play around with. You can't expect me to change my feelings according to your mood. It takes me time to move from one emotion to the other, and sometimes I'm not even sure if you're ready for it, but you still do it anyway. And that's another point I want to make here. You never listen. You never listen to me. I know what's good for you, and I'd never let you go wrong, yet you listen to everyone and everything else but me. I can easily realize when you begin to ignore me, and I'm afraid you're doing everything I'd hate, just to torture me.
You don't see it. You don't see what we can be together. You don't see how beautifuly we could work. I wish you would just open your eyes one morning and acknowledge me, maybe even appreciate me, if it's not too much to ask. When you were younger, we shared something intimate. You'd talk to me all the time and always followed my advice. But now, you're rebellious towards me. It's as if you want a taste of pain that you know I find difficult, but impossible to keep you away from. The pain is inevitable cause you don't think of me.
You talk about me to your friends, about how I hurt you all the time. About how I, even while being so much a part of you, can act like a stranger sometimes too. You curse me when you hurt, yet you always come running back to me when you know not what to do. You don't realize how much I cherish those moments. Those moments when we talk and we connect, when we're on the same page, and we're one. Those are the moments that keep me going. Those moments are the ones that stay with me... And I cling on to them.
I'm not a switch you can turn on or off. Infact, if you try to block me out, you won't get through anything. You know you need me, and call me 'clingy' or 'over possesive', but I care about you. And whether you like it or not, you're stuck with me till the very end. So deal with it. And while you're at it, realize that I don'expect anything in return for all I do for you. I serve you with love and all I expect is respect and that you see me for what I am, you see me for the good I can bring to your life.
You have to understand, my happiness will always depend on you. You are the cause and effect of my very existence. And I will love you and stay with you for as long as that blood runs through your veins.. Always.
Yours sincerely,
Your beating Heart.

Love is Her Name

Her heart's a power house, it never rests
she'll wrap her arms around you
and you'll be filled with a force so strong
you'll want to be the best.

She'll give you the feels when she holds you,

And you'll melt in the purity of her touch
You'll need no other source of love
When she's already giving you so much.

She'll mesmerize you with her smile

and you'll be inspired for more than just a little while
She'll awaken something within you
A strength that'll have you racing for miles

Her limit reaches beyond the sky

The blue is never sadness.. Only hope
Her wings, though invisible are beautiful and white.
Her sky, wide, engulfing and hers to cope.

She'll paint the floors as she walks ahead,

with colours, that with one another, will blend
She'll create shades of emotion that will grasp you
And to her, your attention, you will lend.

And when she passes you by

You'll know Sweetness in its human form.
A breeze that's so heavenly, hailstones of love,
Hitting your face like a rainstorm

Passion is her middle name

and Adventure her best friend
She will talk to you with words that capture
And her principles will never bend.

Her voice will surround you and trap you there

And her music will fill your mind.
A melody so harmonious, it'll move you
until yourself, you find.

Her hair: tresses and ringlets of royalty

will fly in the wind and sit back down on her skin.
And her faithful brown will burst into colour
And the shades of her, will overtake them and win.

She'll make you believe and she'll make you care.

For uncaring souls, time she will never spare
Even though she holds her heart close, near,
She's given it to many, open and bare.

Love is beautiful and love is kind

Love is everthing conjured up in your mind
Love is colourful and full of detailed design
But most importantly, Love is mine.

The Girl Who Lives Music

Her life is a song
And she made me sing along
the melody flowed from her lips,
the lyrics from her heart,
and they touched my soul,
and grasped it with power.
She was made for music, music for love.
and love she did,
though it broke her apart.
But music proved to be her magic, her saving grace.
It lifted the pieces of her from the ground
and taped her back together.
That staff of melody wrapped around her being
and healed her.
Every note and pitch became one with her
until she lived, and breathed music.
Life's song then broke into a quartet,
So many voices and she had to decide on one.
She could challenge herself and take that step up
or she could chose to be comfortable and stay put.
So she listened carefully, and decide she did.
she chose the challenge, the highest to pitch.

It came with a price,
to leave her old songs behind.
So she carried with her, a blank music sheet.
A new one to write.

The newness of it all, makes her voice shaky
she fears she's not hitting the notes right.
she's afraid she's lost the power of her song
she's afraid she can't make them sing along.

So she stops. She gives up. She sings no more.
Her music sheet, half filled.
The melody still plays in her heart
But she lacks inspiration to start.
The strings remain untouched, the keys feeling lonely as us
but most importantly, she's left that music sheet to gather dust.

"Don't stop" I tell her, "don't you dare abandon love.
Love is music, and music is you.
Be passionate, be strong,
be music.
it's where you've ALWAYS belonged.
your inspiration may be far, and too many songs away
but they know they want to hear you sing
that new song one day."

Our Balancing Act

There are two sides to you And there are two sides to me too. The difference between you and me, I'm talking about my twin, you see. Its always been about completion and perfection. We've never tolerated work half done. She'll do something for the learning experience I'll do it for the fun. She'll initiate something, I'll be the one to end it well. She'll knock at a door while I ring a doorbell. She'll look left before crossing, I look right. She'll be the eyes behind my head, a second sight. She's my mirror when a strong wind ruins my hairdo, and in turn I'm her mirror too. My skills are nothing without her ideas, Her wisdom enhances my knowledge. She'll read my mind before I have spoken I'll know who to strangle when her heart's broken. I wake her at dawn, I'm the early bird of the morn She spends hours into the night, the pen, her might. She holds the chords while I strum together a tune She'll count the stars while I stare at the moon. She's calm and composed when I lose my cool She's bold enough to never be fooled. While I drink coffee, she can't go a day without tea I panic under pressure and she works calmly. I like the winter but she prefers the summer I'm the singer and she, the hummer I cut her long stories short, she completes my sentences, I'm bad at grammar, she's the queen of tenses. She writes the good stuff, I write of the dark She'll cup the fire, after I've lit the spark. She hates attention while I crave the same She walks like a boy, and I like a dame. She'll break out into song when we walk down the road, how she knows it's the one I want to hear, only heaven will know. She'll stand to my left to show off her hair I'll stand to her right, my face's dimple to bare She'll take down notes while I sit and stare When I'm not feeling too hungry, she'll be happy to have my share I'm the teapot and she, the spout I'm happy with just clapping, but she'll insist we shout. I'll use a paint brush, she'll dip her hands in the colour She's my brightness when the day's only getting duller. We're two faces of a coin And we'll always have each others backs when something tries to push us down, We'll perform Our Balancing Act.
